Our Involvement in Missions
As Christians, we have been commissioned by Jesus Christ to announce His wonderful story of reconciliation to the world. Each of us, then, must be prepared to share the Gospel, the good news - anytime and anywhere.
We also recognize that God has called some to full-time missionary service here or abroad. And our responsibility as a Church is to support them in any way possible.
It is our firm belief that missions is not just another ministry of the Church, but that it lies at the very heart of our purpose as a Church. And we truly count it a privilege to team up with missionaries in the work of spreading the Gospel, making disciples, training leaders and establishing local churches.
Furthermore, it's our desire to identify and develop individuals within our own Church for missionary service.
Our missionary family is supported largely through the Faith Promise giving of members of the congregation. Their financial gifts are above their regular giving to the Church, representing their confidence that God will fulfill His promise to supply all their needs.
The desire of our Missions Committee is to:
· Build relationships with the missionaries so that they feel part of the church family.
· Have weekly prayer emphasis in the church bulletin prayer sheet regarding our missionaries.
· Monthly presentations in the morning service concerning missionaries that Faith Bible Church supports.
· Missionary projects from time to time.
If you have a question or would like to somehow become personally involved in missions, please contact us. We are more than happy to assist you!
